Gearing up for Christmas 2025

We have been busy on the farm gearing up to open this weekend for Christmas 2025. We have been selling Christmas trees from Slamseys Farm since the 1970s and even have our very own Christmas tree plantation. For many people, coming along to chose their tree from our Christmas Tree barn is what signals the start of the Christmas period.

Throughout the rest of the year Slamseys is a working farm, and every November we clear out the grain store to transform it into the Christmas Tree Barn. We sell Nordmann Fir and Norway Spruce trees, as well as pot grown Christmas trees, wreaths and stands from our barn so that nobody has to stand outside in the cold or wet to choose a Christmas tree. The yard is clean so there is no need for wellies, and there is level access into the barn making it easy for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Buying a Slamseys Christmas tree means you are supporting a local family business, as well as celebrating the festive season in a sustainable way. Real Christmas trees contain no plastic or forever chemicals and are planted specifically for Christmas. A six foot Christmas tree takes an average of ten years to grow, during which time it is absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, benefitting the environment until it is cut down and replaced. If you need more convincing, real trees are also able to be recycled and doing so can raise money for charity in the process! What better way to celebrate Christmas and create family traditions than a visit to the Slamseys Christmas Tree Barn, opening Friday 28th November.
